چکیده
We propose a CMOS circuit that can be used as an equivalent of resistors. This circuit uses a differential pair consisting of diode-connected MOSFETs and operates as a high-resistance resistor when driven in the subthreshold region. Its resistance can be controlled in a range of 1-1000 M by adjusting the driving current for the circuit. The results of the fabrication and measurement of the circuit are described.

High-Resistance Resistor Consisting of a Subthreshold CMOS Differential Pair
We propose a CMOS circuit that can be used as an equivalent to resistors. This circuit uses a simple differential pair with diodeconnected MOSFETs and operates as a high-resistance resistor when driven in the subthreshold region of MOSFETs. Its resistance can be controlled in a range of 1–1000 MΩ by adjusting a tail current for the differential pair. The results of device fabrication with a 0.3...
متن کاملA 1-μW 600-ppm/◦C Current Reference Circuit Consisting of Subthreshold CMOS Circuits
A low-power CMOS current reference circuit was developed using a 0.35-μm standard CMOS process technology. The circuit consists of MOSFET circuits operating in the subthreshold region and uses no resistors. It compensates for the temperature effect on mobility μ and threshold voltage VTH of MOSFETs and generates a reference current that is insensitive to temperature and supply voltage. Theoreti...
متن کاملVoltage Reference Circuit Consisting of Subthreshold MOSFETs
A low-power CMOS voltage reference was developed using a 0.35 m standard CMOS process technology. The device consists of MOSFET circuits operated in the subthreshold region and uses no resistors. It generates two voltages having opposite temperature coefficients and adds them to produce an output voltage with a near-zero temperature coefficient. The resulting voltage is equal to the extrapolate...
متن کاملTopology of Series-Parallel Networks*
There is a simple type of electric network termed a series-parallel connection which occurs frequently in both theoretical and applied electrical engineering. One reason for the importance of series-parallel connection stems from the fact that the joint resistance is easily evaluated by the following two rules due to Ohm: 0 s. Resistance is additive for resistors in series. 0 P. Reciprocal resi...
متن کاملImplementing ultra-high-value floating tunable CMOS resistors
Introduction: Integrated high-value resistors (HVR) are key elements in many applications. Compact HVRs can be applied for biasing purposes or for implementing very-low-frequency filters [1, 2]. In addition to achieving high resistance, usually it is necessary to have good tuning capability of the resistor value, thus the controllability of the HVR is another important design issue. In this Let...
